Life Lately

I'm finally back home after a fantastic work trip in Sydney and on Wednesday will be sharing what I got up to while I was there.

Flying home above the clouds

As a treat to myself for my hard work and to spend some time with my neglected boyfriend I have booked a trip to Ibiza and can't wait to go on Wednesday!!!

Ibiza I can't wait to see you again!

With my triathlon only two weeks away I ordered some new trainers, Saucony Kinvara 3 and 4's, (they come highly recommended by the super fit boyfriend, he ran from London to Brighton in them without a blister in sight) and tested them out this weekend.

We also loaded our bikes onto the car and headed to Boxhill for a 50km bike ride on Saturday where the views were spectacular.

Surprisingly I was still able to walk after the bike ride so on Sunday we ventured to Nottinghill Carnival where we drank Red Stripe and ate plantain. I've been coming to carnival for almost 20 years, visiting Norman Jay's Good Times bus to dance to the happy music and his absence was sorely missed this year.

Hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend and a good week!

Life Lately

I'm still in Sydney working for Target on a TV show with Gok Wan. It has been incredibly busy and great fun with lots of prepping, fittings and filming the TV show.

We filmed at heritage listed Cockatoo Island in the middle of Sydney Harbour, so my journey to work involved a pretty cool water taxi each morning.

Filming for the show took place in an old prison. Beautiful exposed brick and industrial elements, but oh so cold!

The show airs in September and I can't wait to see the result of all our hard work.

On Sunday I had a day off to explore the city but sadly the weather was so bad my plans were thwarted. I did manage to catch up with my dear friend Katie of Olive's World for brunch, do a little shopping and finally join the queues of people at the infamous Gelato Messina for 3 scoops of deliciousness. I'm pleased to say it didn't disappoint.

Trying on some Alexander Wang at David Jones...should I,  shouldn't I?

Two more days of work in Sydney and then I'm flying home!

Have a great week!

Life Lately

I only arrived home from our holiday at the beginning of the week and on Friday I left London for Sydney to work for the next 2 weeks!!!
The night before I departed the boyfriend and I headed to Honest Burger Notting Hill for a goodbye dinner of burger and the most mouth wateringly good rosemary chips.

Holding hands in Notting Hill

Even though I'm vegetarian I LOVE a good veggie burger. Honest Burgers didn't disappoint

Followed by gelato eaten outside among the pretty pastel houses of Portabello.

Yummy Ice Cream to match the pretty houses in Notting Hill

Then it was good bye London, hello lots of hours sitting on a plane.

A gift from the travel company for when I arrived in Sydney. Chocolate cake = Happiness

I arrived in Sydney very early on Sunday morning to crisp blue skies. I'm staying in the Sheraton Park which has the most comfortable bed and pillows, which is where I spent a few hours to try and catch up on sleep.

Such a comfy bed!

Sunday afternoon was spent wandering around Sydney taking in a few sights including Hyde Park, Oxford Street and the shops around Paddington.

There are some seriously cute houses in Sydney, the ornate metal work and Farrow & Ball colours are so beautfiul

Before heading to the gym to try and knacker myself out so I can sleep tonight (Sydney is 10 hours ahead so my body clock is upside down!)

Have a great week!

PS...If anyone has any must do things to do while I'm in Sydney please share them!
